exhibition, and the film

A country that has everything to fight over, and nothing left to fight with

Yemen has soil that no longer feeds its people. It has young people with nowhere to put their strength. It has a sport that nobody is allowed to practise in peace. Those three facts are why this project exists.

What we did

In 2020 we ran a Mini-Olympiad from Aden to Sanaa, with the Yemeni judoka Ali Khousrof and my brother Mohammed behind the camera. It ended in the first medals ever handed out in that country — a small thing, and a real one.

Why it still matters

A filmmaker turned the journey into a film. An artist painted it into 44 canvases. Neither of those things replaces work on the ground — but visibility is what makes the ground work possible. A larger exhibition means a wider reach, and a wider reach means more people standing behind the next one.

In 2020 I had the vision that I would create a peace centre in Yemen. And then I realised — the peace centre is you.

One thing you can do today

Fund the next Yemen chapter

Every contribution goes back into the ground programme — the work that has to happen for Yemen, not only for us.

No account, no commitment. Just a first step — and you can change it later.

What your support does

Feed a family in Yemen

Yemeni soil is exhausted. Supporting the farmers there is what makes them independent — not charity, but the means to stand on their own.

Keep the story visible

The Yemen journey became 44 paintings and a film. Visibility is the mechanism — a bigger exhibition means more reach, and more reach means more support for the ground work.

Finish the trailer

Nine people are living out of a self-built trailer on the road. Solar, provisions and equipment are what turn a plan into a journey.

Figures are placeholders until the programme is costed. We will publish the real numbers before we ask for money again.
